  • The point here really is..."social conservatives" can't be viable candidates outside of a few very red states. At least as we currently define the term. I consider myself a social conservative but I have a really hard time accepting the stuff I hear from Bachmann or Perry.

  • As an independent ... who agrees with some of the saner points of the traditional GOP platform ... all I can say is... welcome to President Obama's 2nd term. If Iowa is any indication of the party's thinking, it's all over but the shouting, and we be be sure there's still plenty of that.
